3 Reasons to Visit Atlanta
Are you planning your next vacation?
Everybody does Disney or the beach. Lots of people go camping or visit historic
monuments. What many don’t realize is that Georgia has its own vacation spot
that’s got something to enjoy whether you’re traveling alone, with friends or
with family. Atlanta attractions are abundant, but that isn’t the only reason
to visit the city.
The Weather
Moderate temperatures make the Atlanta a great vacation spot no matter what time of year you decide you need a getaway. January's high temperatures average 52 degrees--not exactly swimming weather, but not so cold that you can't enjoy the area's natural beauty. During the summer months, temperatures hover in the high 80s and are perfect for swimming or spending an afternoon in one of the many air-conditioned attractions.
It Fits a Range of Personalities
Attractions in Atlanta provide something for all types of personalities. Touristy types will enjoy visiting one of the world's largest aquariums, which comes complete with an exhibit to swim with whale sharks. Artists can walk through the city and see all types of murals, graffiti and other street art, which is not only allowed, but encouraged. Are you a hip-hop fan? Atlanta is a mecca and has given the genre such artists as Usher, Ludacris and Gucci Mane. Of course, foodies can't leave the city before they've checked out Buford Highway, an entire area of some of the best Asian food you'll ever taste.
It Probably Won’t Be Too Crowded
Do you know what the problem is with choosing a popular vacation spot? Everyone else has chosen it too. By the time you pay high parking prices, wade through crowds and get to your destination, everybody is already tired. Because Atlanta isn’t typically thought of as a vacation spot, it is usually much less crowded and much easier to enjoy at your leisure.
If everyone in your group likes something different, be sure to check out Callaway Gardens for some of the best Atlanta attractions. From educational workshops to nature hikes and water parks, you’ll find a little bit of everything during your vacation.
