3 Reasons High School Graduates Delay College

by Kristen White Blogger
After spending 12+ years in the classroom, some high school graduates are ready to be out of the education system and able to create their own schedule.  They don’t want to have to worry about studying, taking exams or meeting deadlines and so they decide to take a break before attending college.  These individuals find employment and start developing their work experience either in the field of their choice or whatever is available.

Some students want to go to college but they don’t know what they want to study so they decide to take some time to see what is trending in the workplace and where they can make the most amount of money or get satisfaction from what they are doing. This path looks similar to the one above with different motivations but the results are still a delay in education and before they know it, several years have passed, they have a family and now they have hit the ceiling of their career progression.

Cost is one of the biggest factors that can affect a student’s ability to attend a university as the tuition, fees and books can be very expensive for basic 4-year degree.  Even with financial aid and possible scholarships, these individuals want to avoid the debt of student loans and would rather find an alternate solution that is cheaper on the budget. Online distance learning degree courses are the perfect answer to this situation and can be taken through an accredited college that offers a variety of program paths.  Applicants have found that they not only receive an affordable education but the schedule is more flexible than a traditional classroom so they can work, complete their education and handle other responsibilities with a reasonable balance.

It is not uncommon for high school graduates to realize a couple years after the fact that they need to get into a college program or they are going to be stuck at their current level permanently or unable to get into the career of their choice.  Online degrees are becoming more popular with the younger generation because they are easier to start and finish when the individual from any of the scenarios mentioned above makes the decision.

You can buy accredited university degree for a lower cost than a brick-and-mortar college where the student has to drive to classes each time, sit in a room with a teacher and then find time for everything else.  The online approach puts the student in control of their schedule so they can earn money to support themselves while preparing for the future so they can enhance their position in the company.

A quality education is important and it opens many doors for individuals to maximize their potential and the ability to take classes on a computer allows students to have freedom, a lower financial investment and be able to follow multiple tracks at the same time. Go online and check into a reputable institution that offers several track options to choose from so the education can begin now.
