3 of the World's Most Extraordinary Pools

by Kevin Smith Author

Are you looking for a unique summer vacation? Maybe you should try swimming in one of the world's most extraordinary pools. Here are a few examples of these incredible attractions you can visit.

The Tank, Golden Nugget Hotel, Las Vegas

People often go swimming to relax and unwind, but at this particular location, it may give you quite the adrenaline rush! The Golden Nugget Hotel is famous for having a pool that sits right next to a 200,000-gallon shark tank. Guests can take a dip while watching these aquatic predators and 300 other types of marine life float by.

The most remarkable feature of this aquarium is its slide that cuts across the middle of the tank. You can slip down the rectangular tube while being surrounded by sharks on all sides. It'll make you feel like they're floating right beside you.

Neptune Pool, Hearst Castle, California

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to bathe among the ancient Greeks and Romans? With the Hearst Castle Neptune Pool, you can have a taste of history. This outdoor swimming area is built in the middle of beautiful Grecian and Roman architecture. Different sculptures, alabaster lanterns, marble pavilions, and colonnades line its perimeter. There's even a replica of a temple facade that features giant columns and intricate carvings.

Getting access to this attraction will cost you, though. The Hearst Castle Foundation requires guests to have a membership valued at around $500, while a ticket for one of its swimming events is $950. It's open to the public ,  times a year, and only 40 people are allowed to swim per day.

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

To feel like you're on top of the world, take a dip in the Marina Bay Sands pool in Singapore. It's found on the 57th floor at a height of 200 feet. It's considered to be both the highest swimming area and infinity pool on the planet. Its sides are entirely invisible, making it seem as though there's nothing holding the water back from spilling over the edge. You'll enjoy a spectacular view of the gorgeous city skyline while relaxing in its cool waters.

Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't allow just anyone to use this attraction. You need to be a guest to get access to it. You may also have to schedule your visit since the number of people who can swim in it at any time is limited.

These are some attractions you can visit for an amazing vacation. If you want to bring the experience home and build something similar right in your backyard, contact one of the swimming pool contractors in Atlanta.
