Super duplex is an austenitic ferritic alloy that contains iron, chromium, nickel and hints of molybdenum. The term super duplex originated in the 1980s, it was used to represent high alloy, high performance duplex steels with a high pitting resistance equivalent. Super duplex flanges also have high corrosion resistance levels. They are also highly resistant to general corrosion in acids. Thus, having these characteristics, super duplex flanges were preferred in a number of marine and chemical industries replacing 300 series stainless steel, high nickel super-austenitic steels and nickel-based alloys.

We manufacture flanges from sizes ½ to 36 and in dimensions from 15mm to 600mm.

Super duplex Flanges can be declassified into various types:

·         Super duplex Blind Flange

·         Super duplex Weld Neck Flange

·         Super duplex Socket Weld Flange

·         Super duplex Slip On Flange

·         Super duplex Threaded Flange

·         Super duplex Lap Joint Flange

All super duplex flanges manufactured at Instinox are used in industries such as:

Offshore oil and gas exploration and production.
In heat exchangers in petrochemical and chemical processing.
The grade is also suitable for instrumentation applications in tropical marine environments.
