Don't Spit on Me! You won't like what happens

SPIT-a form of Spam using text messaging.

I get SPIT at a lot and frankly I am tired of it.  Luckily I have unlimited Text messaging but not everyone does.  So I urge everyone receiving commercial Text message spam to take action like I do and report it.  It's time the SPITTERS reap what they sow.

You see spammers are annoying as hell, but  spitters are much worse.  The spitter not only annoys you with unsolicited text messages that you do not want to receive, if you don't have unlimited text messaging they cost you money with every one of those unwanted commercial text messages.

If you are marketing through text messaging-you are a spitter!  You are costing people money.  They don't want your spam and you add insult to injury by driving up their cell phone bill.

Well Spitters take notice.  You are not safe from prosecution!  The Federal Communications Commission  (FCC) has got your number.  It's called a Form 1088G.
If you receive unwanted Commercial texts visit the FCC site and file a complaint!

The CRTC would be the Canadian so-called equivalent to the FCC.

You're welcome Graham. It doesn't occur to most marketers and those who teach this method don't let people know of the charges they are creating for others.

Make your website mobile friendly

Guilty _ I will have to review my marketing. We text mobile beuticians asking them if we can phone them with information about our perfumes. Never even passed our minds that it would cost them. Thanks Cheryl for giving us the Heads Up.

This is where people get into trouble with buying those leads lists. No one on a leads list has opted in with you unless you have cultivated those leads yourself.

@Cheryl, I teach them to make sure they get involved with a company that has double opt-in and a clear opt-out policy for the customer.

I do use texting for communication with my Partners so it serves a function for me, that's why I have unlimited. But Warren like you I know plenty of people who have disabled it.

@Paul better teach them what happens without opt in or actually express written consent

@Cindy What you mean you aren't sitting there with baited breath waiting on him to come crawling back??

I didn't want him then I sure don't want him NOW!!!

Now I have a way to take care of that annoying text

Thanks,

That's why I preach opt-in to people who want to get into Mobile Marketing. I can't think of too many things that are more annoying than getting anything unsolicited.

I don't know do you have something comparable to the FCC? That would be the place to start.

I wonder if there is such a place for that kind of complaint in Canada...

It's one thing to sign up for Text Messages but another to have some marketer sending them out of the blue. Text messaging costs for a lot of people and they have to pay money out of their pocket because someone chooses to spam them.

Hi Ms.C. I have dealt with it by Stop Sending, Because some of my text messages I have signed up for. But thank you for keeping us so informed, I will take notes, Form 1088G.
