Guilty _ I will have to review my marketing. We text mobile beuticians asking them if we can phone them with information about our perfumes. Never even passed our minds that it would cost them. Thanks Cheryl for giving us the Heads Up.

This is where people get into trouble with buying those leads lists. No one on a leads list has opted in with you unless you have cultivated those leads yourself.

@Cheryl, I teach them to make sure they get involved with a company that has double opt-in and a clear opt-out policy for the customer.

I have yet to get any of those ads, but thanks for this information! Will keep for future reference!

I do use texting for communication with my Partners so it serves a function for me, that's why I have unlimited. But Warren like you I know plenty of people who have disabled it.

That's why I preach opt-in to people who want to get into Mobile Marketing. I can't think of too many things that are more annoying than getting anything unsolicited.

That's why I completely disabled text messages on my phone years age, I don't need it.

I don't know do you have something comparable to the FCC? That would be the place to start.

I wonder if there is such a place for that kind of complaint in Canada...

It's one thing to sign up for Text Messages but another to have some marketer sending them out of the blue. Text messaging costs for a lot of people and they have to pay money out of their pocket because someone chooses to spam them.
