The world of smartphone is all geared up to witness a touch competition between the HTC Thunderbolt 4G and the Verizon iPhone4 from Verizon wireless. Apple and Android fans have lots to drool over this season as both of them have lots to offer. However it will be a tough choice to make, hence we provide some comparisons between the two, hoping this will be help for our readers in choosing their very own smartphone.
As far designs of the both models are concern, both comes in great looks. iPhone 4 is very sleek with 15.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm in dimensions and stylish in its appearance. On the other hand HTC thunderbolt is longer, broader and thicker at 122 mm, 66 mm and 13 mm respectively. The looks of the ThunderBolt is larger on its size as it weights at 164g as against Apple's 137g.
The HTC thunderbolt provides an edge over Apple's iPhone as you can choose from a multitude of 3rd party keyboards like FlexT9 and Swype which is not possible with iPhone 4. The Swype keyboard gives you a brilliant speed that you require in typing.
However the ultimate reason to vouch for the ThunderBolt is its display of 4.3" 480x800 pixel resolution as compared to iPhone 4 3.5" display. But the density of pixel in iPhone is much higher as it has 640x960 pixel resolution. This makes viewing of videos and photos a pleasurable experience in iPhone 4, although the larger screen on the ThunderBolt gives quite good images and sharp videos.
The HTC ThunderBolt is competent of 4G LTE coverage data speeds, while the Verizon iPhone 4 is still trapped at 3G speeds. This feature of HTC thunderbolt is clearly a threat to all existing smartphones in the market.
As far as wi-fi, Bluetooth,GPS, battery and processor ( Single 1 GHz processor) is concern both the devices are same. But camera specifications shows little differentiation as HTC thunderbolt comes with a superior quality camera of 8-megapixel, LED flash and autofocus as against Apple's 5-megapixel, LED flash and autofocus. Also HTC thunderbolt supports Adobe Flash 10.1 which iPhone 4 could not. The HTC Thunderbolt runs on the operating system of Google - the famous Android v2.2 and the iPhone runs on the latest version its iOS. Both the operating systems have their own share of advantages and disadvantages, now it is up to you, which one you would like to opt for.
