Not a good marketer
"Not a good marketer."
I saw that in a comment on a business social network recently. The words written were:
"He's not a good marketer". Or maybe it was: "He's not a very good marketer."
I hope the person mentioned didn't see it. It's not very nice to see that. The only reason one could write this is to discredit someone else.
I wonder, when do we become a good marketer, actually. Is it:
The question remains. Where do we draw the line? Is there an amount of money, a number of subscribers on our list? Is it when we get invited to become JV partners with successful marketers?
About that last point, a successful marketer told me that, we are taken seriously as a list builder by other list builders when our list reaches the 4 digits. Is it actually at 1,000 subscribers or a few thousands? I can't remember.
He said there's kind of a formula. If you have, let's say, 300 subscribers, you can associate with ease with other people who have about the same number. You then help each other reach a higher level, and on and on.
What is your opinion on the subject? When would you say:
"Not a good marketer"

I wonder, when do we become a good marketer, actually. Is it:
- When we make enough money to leave our day job.
- When we travel the world and the 7 seas.
- When we have 18 cars, 67 bathrooms, a private jet.
- When we make our first sale.
- When we get a new referral, even if it's in a free program.
- When people start thanking us for posting good information.
- When we know absolutely everything about online marketing.
- We are invited to speak in front of thousands of people about success and making money online.
The question remains. Where do we draw the line? Is there an amount of money, a number of subscribers on our list? Is it when we get invited to become JV partners with successful marketers?

Some line I think is difficult to draw, but maybe a bad marketer is someone who has spent much effort and money on product promotion, but got this from no positive results.
