Hot RevPages !!!
No, I won't talk about specific RevPages.
I could tell you that all mine are hot, but it would go against my nature. If I do good things, I prefer that my deeds speak for themselves.
That said, the reason for this article is to mention I have noticed something for a few weeks and just realized it could benefit APSense and so all members to talk about it.
When I write a RevPage, take the time to put a lot of information into it. I work on making is as interesting and informative as possible. Recently, I realized I can put images, banners and even videos in the "write review" section, which makes a RevPage more attractive, in my opinion.
I don't see anyone else do those things. I have written, well, a RevPage on how to do that. Click here to read it.
If you have the chance to do so, create a RevPage with only the name of the product or program as the RevPage title. APSense will automatically add the word "Review" at the end, so that people looking for that product and typing its name followed by "Review" ( without the quotes ) in search engines might see your RevPage.
Now, I get to the real point of this article.
Have you noticed the "Hot revPages (last 3 days)" section at the bottom right of your APSense home page?
When you create a RevPage, for the first 3 days of its existence, it might appear there, if it gets more comments than the ones that are there at the time. There are 10 RevPages that are shown at all times. If the the 10th has 2 comments, and yours get 3, you will be in its place.
I can tell you that if you get more then 6 comments, many times, you wil be at 1st place.
Is this good news? Not really, in my opinion. Why? Because being at the top of such a section with only 6 comments means that members are not looking at the section a lot, or that most of us are more preoccupied with our own success than with what the others do.
But what if we all started to write comments on RevPages that get our attention, when we have something interesting to say about it? Or, you don't have to write a comment, you can simply vote for it, see the voting section at the top right of every RevPage, and you can share it on Twitter, FaceBook and other popular sites with the buttons that are under the voting section.
Ok, it's not your link that will be clicked if someone following you on Twitter comes, reads the RevPage and clicks on its link to get more info, than get a sign-up. But imagine if everyone starts to share other members's Revpages, we will all benefit.
As I said earlier, I check the Hot RevPages section very often. The main reason I do so is to see ff my RevPages are climbing the positions. Don't worry, I'm not a cheater, I won't write comments just to make it climb. But I will respond to comments made by other members, not only because I appreciate getting feedback, but because it will help my RevPage get more views.
I will put modesty aside for a moment. I have a good reputation with a good number of members at APSense, so most of my RevPages get comments, many times enough to get to the top. Am I better than any of you? No. I'm the biggest APSense maniac, that's my explanation. At one point, a few weeks ago, I was in a RevPage writing frenzy, and so got 4 of them in the Hot RevPages section for a few hours. It's good that they get out of the list after 3 days, else, we would miss some RevPages that are very interesting.
Ok, back to humble Phil. Sorry about that.
One other thing I suggest about RevPages. You can write more than one, especially if the first one didn't get much success. I mean, promoting it like crazy might work, but if not, maybe it's not interesting, or the subject was not attractive to other members. I've had my share of RevPages that I thought were exciting and invaluable but were ignored. That is also positive, cause it helps determine how to write better RevPages, especially better titles.
Oh, by the way, RevPages don't have to be about promoting things to make money. You can also write one to get attention on something that happened to you, or to promote another member. I have done the 2nd tyoe that a few times, and I always got many comments. Did it help the member get more business? I hope so.
Here's another suggestion: when writing your RevPage, see the "Recommended Features" section as a table of contents. When you have written the 5 features, copy them in notepad so you can refer to it while writing the review section. It will give a nice flow to the RevPage.
For an awesome example of a RevPage not about selling or marketing, see this one by NordiChuks: http://www.apsense.com/page/my-wife-put-to-beda-baby-boy
By the way, if you need help at APSense, I have written more than 300 articles and group subjects, and more than 40 RevPages. Please click the link in my signature for more information.

You made good observations not only for attention of wincer song about adding images in review sections of revpages and also for members about making your revpages hot that is not just publishing contents, but quality contents.
I created a group "share it exchange" where members share revpages with social medias like twitter, facebook etc in exchange. We had it in formal apsense campaign features, hope this can help in sharing revpages.
Phmosian,i must thank you for refering my revpage.

Hello Sunny, thanks for the very nice feedback. I love to share information that can make APSense better and more popular for everyone, we will all benefit.
As for responding to comments, I think it's another easy way to brand oneself too. People appreciate every personal attention they get, it helps build stronger relationships. This is the most important thing at APSense and in our online business world. Also, it helps that I love to do it.
You'll find that the more you do it, the easier

Philippe, I had no option but to read this page at least twice. Great stuff. You have mentioned some of the facts which we normally miss out while creating RevPages.
And one more thing I noticed was that you always respond to almost all the comments, which is something not many of us do here...sharing and caring as mentioned by Roosevelt. Thanks and will stay tuned for more ;-)

Hello Mohann,
I just fixed the bad link. Sorry about that.

You're right, Phil. We hardly tend to notice what's on the first page. I was curious to learn about your RevPage on how to put images, banners etc. in the review section but sorry the 'Click here' link doesn't exist. Please correct it early. Thanks for the in-depth analysis of RevPages.

It's touchy to make multiple RevPages with the same content and only the title is different, because the search engines might see it as duplicate content.
However, if you create multiple splash or squeeze pages and change only the headline, it's part of testing and tweaking.
If the RevPage author waits to get many comments to correct the mistake, he will look bad.

I'm not sure I'm with your recommendation to run with multiple RevPages if the first one doesn't seem to get attention.
I saw examples recently where a promotion was copied about 8 times in a very short space of time. They each had the same body and recommended features. Just the title and intro had been tweaked a little.
Strange thing about them was that link didn't work!!!
One of them hit the top 10 because people added comments to say that link was not working!

How to write Hot RevPages & NOT Specific ones?
The foremost Point is to Select a Niche or Market, which has a greater Demand! Then Make YOUR Presentation Precise, informative & Interesting! Don't forget to Keep the Sequence & Explanation. Audio-Visual Addition with Graphics will improve the overall outlook of YOUR RevPages & will make them more Hot! All YOU need is Knowledge & Command on the Subject-Matter! People would LOVE it & ask More !

Ok, gotcha, Andrey, thanks, I had misunderstood what you said :)

I'm not saying that there really should not embed the links and banners here on a larger scale you tell about a product that you want promote .A not just copy the text and banner.

Andrey, a RevPage, i.e. a Review Page, can be used to promote things, as there is a field to put a link when you create it. It's ok to do that. But I suggest that people put pros AND cons in a RevPage, so that it really looks like a review. They can talk about the positive and negative aspects, or personal experiences, it will give more credibility to the review.

Thanks for the top and share, Lonnie. I appreciate it. :)

Yes, Philip, to promote the links there is a "business center" where you can share and promote your business, but revpage is more information nature.Or topic that you would like to discuss or comment.

I believe you have some good ideas here. The more interesting your site the more responses you get.
