Convert to EPS Using Vector Based Technology

by Sanjita Nanda SEO SR.Expert

You can take advantage of the latest advancements in computer graphics to take an image and convert to eps for better rendering and printing purposes. The postscript graphical format makes it easier to render the image on older machines that do not have the hardware capabilities to directly render the data on their own. This is used in advanced image processing and printing purposes when you are dealing with professional images and designs that have to be scalable in size. You cannot determine the extent of the image in traditional formats unless you use vector techniques for better representation and reconstruction purposes.

Traditional and cheap formats of imaging techniques use bitmap previews or the concept of raster graphics. However, if you create vector art from the same image, the difference would become clear to you on your own. Normal bitmap images are suitable when used in their original size, but are not scalable at all. If you keep increasing the size of the image, the image is progressively blurred until a stage arrives where you cannot make out anything at all. Such a practice imposes a lot of restrictions which are unsuitable for corporate practices and uses and should be discarded completely.

Vector based techniques uses complex mathematical equations to provide a more accurate and detailed rendering of the image. Regardless of the size that you use for the image, vector techniques would help you maintain the original smoothness and retain the quality of the image. Instead of conventional graphical interface of pixels, the position of the points are shifted based on dynamic inputs. Thus, you can key in any size specifications of your choice and get the same image quality without any blur at all. The concept of vector artwork has become extremely popular in professional applications that have to deal with scalable sizes of images to be used for various promotional purposes.

You would have a lot of distinct advantages and benefits when you take the vector route for imaging purposes. Once you take an image and convert to vector, you can notice the increase in clarity and detail as compared to a traditional quality image. The difference becomes more pronounced while printing, so you can use it for large sizes in billboards and hoardings without compromising with the details. Older machines can render the image because of the eps format so the entire conversion process can proceed smoothly without any hassles at any stage.

If you do not have the proper equipment and graphic specialists at your disposal, you should not attempt to make the conversions on your own. Lots of companies rely on third party professional services for vector conversion of their images. This would cost you a lot less and you can let the experts handle the job on your behalf. You have to provide them with a copy of the image and size specifications based on which you will be sent a quote. Your final selection and the decision to convert to eps can depend on the value of the quote and the various size distributions of the original image.
