Is ThumbVu a TE or SM site ?

As you can see, ThumbVu is a TE ( Traffic Exchange ) with features which make it stand out from the crowd. The BIG TE crowd.
Here are the additional features :
- You can write articles
- You can chat ( ok, some other TEs allow that too, it's the latest trend )
- Thanks to the unique Gallery feature, you can CHOOSE the splash pages you want to see, to me, that's a very cool feature

John Guanzon is the owner. He is awesome ! I got to know him through my relationship with Mark Hodgetts, who is one of my best friends.
Let me tell you how I got to know John.
A few months ago, I saw on FaceBook that it was Mark's birthday. I wrote a post on his wall. I then saw a post from Mark about ThumbVu. I answered I would check it out. Mark didn't respond, he was with his family. Of course, I had no problem with that. What took me by surprise was seeing John asking me in an answer to my comment if I wanted to join ThumbVu, I said yes, but wanted to use Mark's ref link.
John said, "no problem, I'll get it for you".
I said, "You are an admin ?" That's me jumping to conclusions without thinking first. :)
He said, "I am the owner".
Duh...
Some might say, "Of course, he gave you the link, he wants to make money with you"
Well, first, you can join ThumbVu for free.
Second, Mark trusts John, so it was a no brainer for me to trust John too. That little thing at FaceBook proved to me John is ready to go the extra mile. I mean, he didn't know me. He could have waited for Mark to give me his ref link the next day or so.
No. He acted at once. It took him probably 2 minutes to look it up. Not long, I can hear some say. Well, remember, he's a TE owner. By definition, that keeps him busy, not counting the other things he does, and there are many.
Look at Pete Balasch's comment below. Pete has experience with TEs, he gets a lot of sign ups.

I agree Philippe...ThumbVu has the best of both worlds - a unique way to view various ads AND to get your ads shown, as well as a way to network with the other members. It's a great site!

Thumbvu is a great exchange. It has done well to integrate social bookmarking within the site. I know John as a fellow TE Owner and can tell you it doesn't surprise me that he "went out of his way" to exceed expectations. It is what sets programs apart on the internet today... not necessarily the content contained within them but the owners that operate them.
