Honest selling still has a place in this world

Hi everyone,
There is an association that promotes honest selling. It is called :
Honest Selling Professional Association ( HSPA )
Their vision, in their own words, is to ?rebuild the reputation of the sales profession, so that sales become collaborations between buyers and sellers rather than wars to be won and lost?.
I want to build my online business with integrity. A few months ago, I typed the words ?honest selling? in Google, and found HSPA. At first, I was almost skeptical. Are these people for real ? Don?t they know there are sharks all over the place ?
HSPA are dolphins, if you allow me the comparison. I remember, many years ago, in a movie or TV series, there was a shark menacing someone. A dolphin came to the rescue.
I want to be a dolphin too.
On HSPA?s site, you will find a book that covers what the association is about. You can read the whole book online for free. If you prefer, it is available as a softcover. Selling the softcover is one way for them to finance their activities. You won?t find the book elsewhere.
Pressure techniques make me feel uncomfortable. The association wants the buyers and sellers to communicate from a standpoint of truthfulness. It is up to the parties to find out if the needs are covered by the solution offered.
It all sounds naive. Of course, when you want to sell fast, you won?t have the time for what the HSPA suggests. But in the long run, it is, in my honest opinion, the best way to build your reputation and, yes, make more sales.
The whole world might not be ready to listen. Here, patience is the key. Principles like the ones the HSPA teaches help the world move in the right direction.

Have a wonderfully honest day !
Philippe

You wouldn't think that it works that way but it does!! lol. Have a friend who sold ram air intakes for cars and trucks at the swap meet. Each kit sold for 250.00 and they could clear 1500 per day on a two day meet. one day this guy walks up the table in sweat pants and a t-shirt. My friend asked the man what he wanted and he said well I was thinking of buying one of these kits. My friend said you aren't buying anything you have no money on you! The guy said how do you know? and my friend sa

Joe, you made my day ! :)
You make me realize that some people want us to be gentle, others need to be pushed, others need to be "bullied" :)

I like this post Philippe, and in reality, strong arm tactics are rarely needed if your product or service fill the needs of the client or prospect. Strong arm tactics can also be useful for certain types of clients. In some cases if the salesman doesn't try to close the deal they won't feel comfortable buying from the salesperson. It's weird but it happened to me when I was selling mini blinds and such. This person after even my best approach would not close until I pushed the fact she had n
