Whether it be it a brick and mortar or online business, banners provide a very good and reasonably priced form of advertising. Don't believe me? The next time you drive through town, take notice of all the banners that you see hanging on the side of buildings, above the front doors or even along the road and in the parking lots. You will see anything from the "Breakfast served all day" to "50% off sale" banners are everywhere. Every time you go from one page to the next on any social site you will see banners. Nearly every blog has banners along the sides and bottoms, nearly every website that you visit, you will see banners. Banners that advertise other goods and service or just another page of the site that you are on.
Banners can be a set and forget it form of advertising, set it up once and it is always there tempting others to click on it to see where it will take them or to take advantage of what the banner has to offer. A perfect example is a social site that I joined only a week ago which allows you to place banners, I placed an Apsense banner and in that 1 week I have had 5 new members join from my link.
When using banners it is recommended that you use a tracking system just as you would any other form of advertising in order to know the effectiveness of each banner. I placed this banner
with a banner broker and have received many hits and prospects from this one banner and while gaining prospects and sales, I also doubled my money with the banner broker.
