Honestly... Are The People You Call Friends Truly Supportive Of Your Business Efforts?
I'm asking this question
because it seems to me that many folks in my Apsense family who post discussions, blogs and campaigns, seem to be all alone when it comes to their
efforts at creating an income for themselves...
When I started out 12 years ago, I was absolutely on my own and it's been very hard to change my habits. I really am a very friendly person, but when it comes to business, that good old Solitary Nature of mine kicks in and temporarily places a distance between me and other folks until I feel that I've gotten the job done.
Back in the early days, there were so many people that simply believed that this "Internet Thing " was all just a fad, and that if regular folks thought they could earn a living online, well, they were just plain crazy!
Thankfully, there were some people who never listened to their friends, and even family members, who said that "It would never work.. " and even told them to "Get a REAL job!" :)
At this point, I must smile because, as most of you have found out by now, making good money online takes a hell on a lot of "Work " even if it doesn't seem that way to others.
Mainly, most of my closest friends know better than to try and interfere with my business efforts, especially if they don't have any better ideas to offer me.
Those of my friends who have the Love and Understanding to "Let Me Be..", always are rewarded when I am successful, and those who are clumsy enough to behave otherwise, become "Dragon Bait "... LOL! :)
So, Mylot family, how are your friends treating you in "The Age Of The Entrepreneur"?
Are they smart and resourceful, or thoughtless and cruel?
Do they try to help you pull it all together, or do they try to tear your dreams apart?
Are you alone in your efforts by choice, or by chance?
Do you think that you could benefit from a more direct and personal business counseling and guidance approach from the excellent people here at Apsense?

@webmeip - Every darn time I need a job, it always seems to be one that leads me right back to my chosen Life. I think the Universe is really shouting at me to "Be " myself, no matter what other folks might say.
I thank the Stars that I'm a damn good cook, and a pretty good artist, too (So they say) but I'll always want my business Life to catch on fire and flourish, it's so much a part of me that I can't imagine what "job " will ever be enough...

@webmiep- If it wasn't for the occasional business conference that I attend, there wouldn't be many folks for me to relate to, or share my ideas with...
I'm glad that I teach art to regular folks, otherwise I would probably be sitting in front of this damned monitor with cobwebs all over me... LOL! :)

Thanks for responding with an answer that really says so much about this crazy Life that we've chosen to embrace. I absolutely agree with your stance on education, and I also have experienced the circumstantial gain or loss of friends (and foes) that you so generously mentioned...
Indeed your comment should serve as a model for those readers to come, and again please accept my thanks for sharing such an insightful point of view! :)

Nor my husband, nor my friends have the faintest idea of what I am trying to achieve. This is hard sometimes...

Being an Entrepreneur can be one wild roller-coaster ride. I have had my ups and downs over the years, funny that alot of friends seem too creep out of the cracks when you are on a up and dissapear as soon as you hit a down.
The true friends are the ones that stand by you through all these fases whether it may be good or bad. I am fortunate to have the support of my family and true friends, if not, i would have been back in a office pushing papers for a boss long ago.
