Dr Rajani Gupte, dean, Faculty of Management, who will be the convenor for the event said, ?With globalisation, trade in goods has expanded and the trade in services has grown rapidly too.

In the field of education, the most common form of this trade is the movement of students to study in foreign universities, which has been supplemented by the delivery of foreign higher education programs in developing countries. However, there are concerns in developing countries about the possible negative impacts of this trade on underfunded domestic higher education systems operating within rigid regulatory systems. All these issues will be addressed in the conference.?

The Deputy Director General, Private Universities & Colleges, Programs & Quality Assurance, Ministry of Higher Education, Sultanate of Oman will be the esteemed Guest of Honour.

Also, speakers from foreign universities like Nanyang Technological University-Singapore, Newcastle University- UK, Phillips- Universitat Marburg, Germany and New York University-US.
