KENDA DV-1 adalah perangkat telemetry untuk meteran air yang berfungsi sebagai pembaca, pengolah, dan pembuat laporan penggunaan air pada satu meteran air yang terdiri dari Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) dan sebuah aplikasi di Server. KENDA DV-1 Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) membaca data dari meteran air dan kemudian mengirimkannya ke aplikasi di server melalui jaringan GPRS, untuk kemudian disimpan dan diolah menjadi sebuah laporan penggunaan. Server yang menerima data dari RTU tersebut disimpan di sebuah data center yang terkoneksi ke jaringan internet dan online setiap waktu. Karenanya laporan penggunaan air dari satu meteran air yang dimonitor dapat diakses kapan saja dan dimana saja semasih terkoneksi dengan jaringan internet.

Perangkat KENDA DV-1 Remote Terminal Unit dapat dipasang pada hampir semua merek dan jenis meteran air yang biasa digunakan. Sebuah sensor magnetis ditempatkan pada meteran yang akan diawasi. Penambahan sensor ini tidak akan memengaruhi nilai kalibrasi / tera. Sensor tersebut mendeteksi pergerakan meteran dan merekam volume pemakaian / volume aliran dalam setiap interval yang ditentukan. Data volume dan nilai meteran yang didapat kemudian dikirim ke server oleh modul GSM/GPRS dalam RTU melalui jaringan mobile internet.
Laporan penggunaan DV-1 di web dilengkapi juga dengan peta sehingga memudahkan dalam pengawasan dan pembuatan laporan.

Data yang telah tersimpan dalam KENDA DV-1 Remote Terminal Unit dapat pula diakses oleh pengguna dengan cara:

    * Pengambilan data pada SD/MMC yang dipasang di alat
    * Pengambilan data menggunakan kompueter/laptop melalui saluran serial RS-232
    * Pengambilan data jarak jauh / telemetry melalui SMS

Alat ini juga dilengkapi dengan fasilitas layanan SMS yang akan mempermudah pengguna saat alat ini beroperasi. Layanan SMS tersebut diantaranya:

    * Permintaan data dan status terakhir dari alat
    * Laporan data otomatis, yakni pengiriman data secara periodik kepada pengguna dengan interval waktu yang ditentukan
    * Peringatan dini dari alat jika terjadi masalah seperti pemakaian air berlebih, kondisi kritis pada catudaya, sensor error, penutup alat terbuka, dll

Kenda DV-1 is a telemetry device for water meter that serves as a reader, processors, and manufacturers report the use of water at a water meter which consists of Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) and an application on the server.
