Read before You Write
It is very ironical that there are hundreds of thousands of blogs here on all sort of topics and yet, there are no comments and no ratings. Is there any point in writing blogs if no one is even reading them ??This trend is harming everyone instead of doing any good. After all we all have some good information which we want to share with others.
I have a simple suggestion for all bloggers to make their blog meaningful.
- If you want to write a blog, go ahead and write but, before that please go through at least 2 blogs and post your comment. Give a rating also. This is the principle " Do unto others what you would like them to do for you".
- Make your blog meaningful. I see a lot of blogs which are mere advertisements and could have been in advertisement section.
- Please restrict the number of blogs a member can write in a given period
- You may like to reward a person for posting comments in terms of allowing them to write more blogs.
- All blogs without a comment for over a month should be deleted because it is not serving any purpose. It is obvious that the writer is not connecting with his contacts and pursuing them to read their blog.

@ppl I never thought of that, but it makes sense NOT to have that function when you say it like that. It only takes a couple of bad apples to ruin the whole basket...
I'm going to keep toping the good ones I find anyway and Ignore the spam as you suggested. I thank you for your always informative posts and comments.

@ ian we used to have a top or drop function, the drop function was dropped because people used it more as a weapon than a tool, topping ads and dropping original content.

I agree with PPL, admins don't need to change anything, one suggestion might be to add a "not tops" to the "top it" funtion. That way we might be able to cut down on spam blogs by marking them down - just a thought.
I too often get writers block when it comes to generating articles and prefer not to write rather than spam.
Great comments Aditya - thanks for posting.

@ sue there's a big difference in not being creative and in constantly copy and pasting blogs from others you find on the internet. If that is all that is in your blog, how can you expect others to get to know you? I have no problem with people sharing what they find but they should also be sharing themselves.
A blog consisting only of what has been copied and pasted that others have done let us get to know those who did the writing, not the one who does the posting.

I may agree but not everyone is as creative as they may wish to be and so they will copy and paste, or take snipets of someone else's story. They are here for getting noticed and are doing what they can.

I agree that there should be more comments. Unfortunately many come a write blogs expecting people to read theirs but never read anyone else'.
Then there are those who copy and paste the works of others to their own blog, granted they do give credit and the material is good but I don't even look at their blogs anymore because it is not their blog, it is an anthology of other people's blogs.
And then there are those who view APSense as a spam litter box. They do nothing but paste ads ev
