Business Opportunity or Monavie Scam?

by Ellie Gant
When deciding if a company is simply a scam or actually offers a real business opportunity, one must determine if actual fraud or deceit is occurring. A company is not necessarily a scam just because you don't approve of their business model or product offerings.

In the case of Monavie, there are many people who truly believe in the health benefits of the product itself. The acai berry, which is a primary ingredient in the Monavie juice, has numerous health advantages. There are also a number of other healthy ingredients in the product formulation as well. Although some people may question some of the health benefit claims for the juice, it appears the product itself is legitimate.

However, there are also other comparable products that offer just as good if not better health benefits as compared to the Monavie product. Monavie reviews often state that when compared to similar products on the market, that the cost of Monavie is quite high. However, a product cannot be considered to be a scam simply because of its high cost.

A multi-level marketing model is definitelyused by the Monavie business model. However, multi-level marketing methods are used by many different companies in various formats, and the use of these techniques cannot be the only factor used to label a company as a scam. What generally indicates a scam is when the company doesn't actually focus on selling the product, with the product itself considered to be less important than recruiting other people into the program.

Multi-level marketing programs that focus specifically on building a downline as opposed to earning money from selling the product, especially if it appears that only those who joined the company early have the potential to make money, tend to label a company as a scam.

In the case of Monavie, they do advertise that money can be made by selling the product itself. With a dedicated customer base, you can purchase the Monavie product wholesale and sell it at a retail price, thereby making money. However, as compared to the amount of money that can be made from selling the juice itself, the business plan for Monavie definitely encourages making bonuses and commissions for bringing in new distributors and building your downline. Instead of focusing on selling the product, the primary focus appears to be on recruiting new distributors.
