In 2008 Arthur, formed from tropical waves on May 31, 2008. Nine lives were claimed and estimated damages of $78 million from floods was considered moderate in the Carribbeans. 100,000 people were affected.
This storm intriged me because my step-father's name was Arthur; he surmised in 1994; loved my mother ( Ms. Mae) and my eldest children ( both share the same birthdate 17th, one in May and the other in Dec ) and though any lost life is heartfelt among the living; this storm was not catastrophic.
Be alert in this current season for calm does not mean we will not see a storm. How well is your state prepared. Take note from Louisiana Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness
