What can you sell on the Internet? The answer is a resounding anything and everything! One only has to loo on Ebay the world's largest online auction. For someone starting out with no product of their own and very little online experience it would be a wise decision to look around for an already established business. Eveyone knows of a locally owned business, a "Ma and Pa" operation where they manufacture their own products. It could be "homemade beef jerky" to "gift baskets", promotional items etc.,, One needs to approach the owners with the idea of promoting their locally known product on the internet, and therefore reaching millions instead of hundreds or thousands. First off would be the negotiating of the pricing, shipping, profits, percentage of markup to include shipping etc.,, Suggest or ask if they will "drop ship" that way you are out of the shipping picture. In this manner, you don't have the responsibility of the manufacturing, and /or shipping, leaving you to work on marketing their product. Explain that you will not make any money unless a sale is made,this way it makes it more attractive an offer. Also, if the above business proposition fails suggest they sell you their product wholesale and you will sell it on the internet.
