Please anyone that knows history, help me with this one!
My son found this in our yard. I have tracked it to being a United Nations Badge. But, it seems that it could be one of the first. The imperfections(the leaves were not white but like a bronze color).....let me know what you guys think.
It is approx 2 1/2 in. wide
approx 1 1/2 in. long
approx 1mm thick
approx 3 1/2 grams in weight.
All of the glaze is obviously gone. It looks like the one above, is what this one looked at one time.

I told myself...if someone paid for a cornflake shaped in the shape of Idaho (or what ever damn state).........a ton of money. I won't settle for less with this find. LOL...I forgot about the 10 yr old toasted cheese toast. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the rest of you guys.......The kids are so excited about this....(their gonna get a billion dollars.....I told them...yes...if you keep this safe for a billion years).....b

Great Find, it seems to me if people out there would pay $28,000 for a 10 year old toasted cheese sandwich with an image burnt on it, this should be worth at least 1/2 the sandwich! Lol
I would be curious to hear how you make out in your quest (psst, maybe the guy who bought the sandwich would be interested ha ha)

Wow, what a find.
I remember long ago, digging up some Indian relics in the ground.
My Daddy made us put them back, out of respect and possibly a bit of superstition too.
I often wonder now, what we really had.
Please keep us posted as to what you find out.
Wonder the history behind this, and how long it's been burried in your yard.

Hi Jenn, I would start at the source and send the photo to the UN. They will have the most accurate information and I can just about guarantee they have a historian available who is knowledgeable on UN history.

Hi jenn,
It looks like a United Nations metal beret badge. You would have to get in touch with one of the collectibles sites to find out its age and value though.
Could be canadian in origen.
hope this helps
