Tons of websites write about Google AdSense, I’ve made a short compilation of this. Also check out “100 tips using Google Adsense“.

The more success you have with your blog / website, the more time and money you’re going to invest to update it and host it properly. At some point you may think: “wouldn’t it just be nice to have my site pay for itself?”AdSense can help you along. Hosting a website costs about 6-8$ a month. You put a little of your time in blogging, so the actual costs of running a blog is about $50 a month. AdSense can help you covering these costs, just follow the next steps to start earning money.

1 How does it work?
Google AdSense Program offers you PPC Advertising, know as Pay Per Click, it’s a great way for you to earn money for a website that would otherwise be sitting there, generating no money. I’ve learned a lot about AdSense and I decided to teach you a few steps and tips, on how to squeeze the most out Google AdSense.

2 Why should I monetize my blog with AdSense?
First, because AdSense is a very simple and proven solution that already pays for hundreds of thousands of blogs/websites across the world!

Also, AdSense is provided to you by Google which not only makes it reliable but also trustworthy. Once you have earned money from Google, you can actually trust them to pay it to you!

Finally, because the ads will be contextual, i-e they will be relevant to the content of your blog/site. This way, your visitors will not be offended for seeing the ads on your site. The ads on your site are relevant to your topics.

2 Signing up
Signing up for Google AdSense is very easy, just follow this link:

3 Start earning money
After you’ve signed up for Google AdSense, you can start earning money! The concept is simple: get a lot of visitor to your site! The average Click Trough Rate (CTR) is about 2%. This means that 2% of those who are visiting your site, are clicking on an advertisement.

4 How much worth is 1 click?
This is very variable. 1 click can be worth $0,04, but I’ve seen clicks worth $0,80! The worth of a click depends on the ads displayed on your site. Some ads are rare and generate a lot of money, others aren’t. So it is important to have some content on your site that nobody else has! Knowledge = power!

Most important Tips

After you’ve signed up for AdSense here are some wise tips:

Do not click on your own ads and do not ask friends or family to click your ads!!! Google dislikes it and will ban your account!!

Placement
Here you see what the best places for ads on your site are:

The darker the spot, the better the ad will be seen (and clicked!).
