Whether my Mom is living in physical form or not is immaterial... She still manages to crack me up from the Other Side! :)
I still like to toast her and my six Aunties on Mother's Day. These Women left me with an abundance of Knowledge that I still rely on today, and I am really grateful to them for their unbelievable strengths and sense of humour...
My Aunt Gladys (There's a funny name for ya) is one example... She was very pregnant with my cousin Brian when she decided to go into labour at the dinner table--
Now Aunt Gladys loved to eat, and there was NO WAY that she was leaving this fine meal to go to a hospital for something as simple as giving birth. So when my Mom and my other Aunties cleared the table... Aunt Gladys hopped onto it, and out popped my cousin Brian... Yeah, he was born between courses... LOL!
My brothers and I never had the heart to tell him! :)

I had a favorite slot machine in Atlantic City that I named after my aunt Gladys! :)
That sucker would sometimes jackpot me 3-4 times in a row... Then they changed it.. Oh man how I miss "Gladys"! LOL! :)

Oh no does everyone have an Aunt Gladys? My Aunt Gladys is a serious trip. She has this habit of embarrassing my brother every time she comes around. My brother's name is Richard but as a child his nick name was Dicky. She always Comes around and gets out of her car and starts yelling at the top of her lungs "Dicky! Dicky are you home?"
