Do not get the MagicJack or you will be getting ripped off. It doesn't work like they say and they try to get all of the money out of you they can. Some people might have it work but if you type in the name MagicJack on your PC, and read some of the reviews, you will see that I am not basing this solely on my experience. There are many complaints about why you shouldn't buy it.

We live in a small town. There was a public service of tax people set up at the cmmunity center. They asssisted the elderly, poor and disabled free of charge. This was not H&r Block. It was a service set up by the borough because we live in a very poor area. My thinking is that it will be via check even though direct deposit info was included on the forms. fter reviewing the IRS site, then if it goes by my # a check will not be issued until may 23rd, if they go by my wife's then it will be issue

It's also not a guaranteed $600. If you made over $3000, then you are getting atleast $300 per person or $600 per married couple. Once you reach a certain amount of income, then it's closer to $600. I'm getting $575. You can go to the IRS website, and with your tax papers in front of you, fill out the form on there that figures what you should be getting and it will tell you.

Did you use H&R block or one of those services and get a rapid refund? If you chose that option, they will have to mail you a check, because the IRS didn't do the direct deposit on those, the tax company did. Rapid Refunds are actually loans based on your refund. The tax company gives you the money, and they get your refund, so the IRS never gets your checking info. They have to mail you a paper check. We DID file a tax return. My wife went down to this place and there were psople there assisting people in filling out the forms. It is my understanding that all the eletronic deposit info was submitted. Also I understand it is $600/person for married couples or $1200 total. Even if you have disability or social security, you had to file an income tax return in order to get the rebate. Even if you had no income this was a provision of the deal. OK that might be the reason that no records were found. If you did send a tax return this year, ythen I would surely call or contact the IRS. Anyone who filed electronically shjould get thiers in May . Anyone who filed by mail, will get by social security number. I know that this whole thing has been confusing.

I've tried SKYPE and cancelled them. THey wanted $$$ because I ran out of 'points'. I really don't like IM stuff like yahoo AND I DON'T HAVE msn. I get to much junk from IM's. I'll go with Jeff on that one - if you can get Skype or another free IM service - they give you the possibility to call very cheaply - even on dial up. VOIPbuster and those companies are another cheap alternative and many calls can be made FREE

THANKS for all your comments. I have checked all the links EXCEPT the one for disabled people. I willl be looking into that. We have a cell phone but live in a area where it is useless. So we cannot make or receive phone calls. I think the thing that really ticked me off the most is the DOPES who go about GLOATING about THEIR $$$. I am glad they got it, but when I hear them just bragging about all this new 'stuff'(which they probably DON'T NEED) THEY are going to 'get' just burns me up.
