It's 6:00 in the morning and I just could not sleep thinking about the new addition of products we are about to Launch for Essante Worldwide. I had a few observations since opening Essante Worldwide. First, the Essante Worldwide people are some of the warmest, kindest and most loving people I have ever met. We had Leadership and Opportunity Meetings now in Tulsa, Dallas, Hawaii and Arizona. The excitement at all of these meetings was contagious. What is true residual income, and why do I feel so strongly about it? First, my background plays a significant role in answering this question. I don't come from a wealthy family. My Grandparents were born in Germany. When they imigrated to United States their passage here was difficult. They traveled here by boat. It took weeks to cross the Atlantic before sailing past the Statute of Liberty and Ellis Island into the New York City Harbor. When they arrived they had no money and no ability to speak good English. They came here to live the American Dream.

Like many working families, we struggled quite a bit growing up. We never seemed to have enough money at the end of the month. And it wasn't because my parents were lazy - in fact, quite the opposite. My Dad held a full-time job and worked a lot of overtime to make ends meet. And my Mom, in addition to raising 2 children, had various jobs but always made sure we felt happy and loved.

We had a very loving household, but no matter how hard my parents worked, we always worried about money and never felt completely financially secure. And that really bothered me. Was this really the American Dream? Work really hard and worry about money all the time? It didn't make any sense to me.

And then I found the answer when I began to study the Direct Selling Industry. I realized that relationship (word-of-mouth) marketing was the most powerful form of marketing ever discovered. Additionally, done correctly, a Direct Selling company could provide an incredible source of financial security for anyone willing to put in the effort.

In January 2008, we donated to the Matt Leinhart Foundation.
