OK, What Part Of " It's Smart To Back Up Your Computer Files" Is So Confusing? -- Free 2G's+ Law Com
I can say without a doubt that most of you have experienced a computer failure or error (with the loss of important files) in the last few years...
If you have not, you probably are the luckiest Human on the Internet, and should be buying Lotto tickets like they were snack cookies! :)
The evolution of online back-up systems is in full swing, and with free offers abounding, there really is no good excuse to have files on your system that are not backed up!
The newer systems not only encrypt your files, but they also have timed back-up features on their own servers and other biz- strength stuff.
I surely recommend that you get in the habit of storing copies of your stuff-- A timely back-up saved my Client's job last year, when he got clobbered by a supposedly dead virus that whacked his entire hard drive... I'm glad that I thought enough to send most of his work files to an online service while he was having his machine cleaned... He was being too cheap to figure out this for himself...
(The are at least 1-9 million pieces of malicious code and fragments floating around- Harvard's Business Law School)
Well anyway, this offer is free and it will cover 2Gigs of files with all the features of the servcie included... Of course you can upgrade... AND, if you refer your friends you can EARN MORE STORAGE space- I hope that this appeals to the business person in you.
Please get into the habit of backing up your files... It's much better that trying to replace them when they get lost... Another GOOD THING is that you can store Non-essential files offline and save hard drive space! Your computer will run more efficiently and that will make you a happier Human! :)

You know, it's a rule (Read In Guerilla Marketing) that every business owner should be as smart as EVERYONE who has anything to do with his business... Not dependent on them-- That's a scary non-excuse.

Of course not and then they say "My lawyer didn't mention it to me" Their lawyer is just as lost and confused as they are in most cases.

Most "Business Owners" don't seem to have much to do with directly running their businesses... That's a long standing problem, Cheryl... It's been exacerbated by the Information Age, and the strange fact that nobody really seems to want to 'Get" to the much needed stuff, themselves... They expect it all to be handed them--
Your prospects probably don't have a clue about this new law until you mentioned it to them, right?
I'm not shocked at all....

I run across some of the stupidest business owners you can imagine. They just don't get it. Now we have people saying we did this in September , how does that help with a law that went into effect January 1st. Really I'm beginning to think a lot of these people should not be in charge of businesses.

That's true, Cheryl... This program can only be as good as the folks using it.... ALL business owners must have a 'Hands On" approach in meeting the rigors of the new laws!

Don't convince people they are covered by using the software. The new law also requires them to conduct mandatory training, have a written security policy and a mitigation plan in place along with their IT security measures!
After all IT and electronic software is only as good as the people using it. And most people are not using it.
