I Hate It When A Plan Goes Wrong !
On Monday and Tuesday I was on a special diet, and on Wednesday,
wasn't allowed to have anything except fluids. Only certain types of
fluids, at that.
Wednesday evening had to take this disgusting preparation to prepare
for a procedure at the Hospital Day Procedure Centre on Thursday.
They're lucky I even managed to get the rotten stuff down! And we won't
even go into the effects it had here - censored to protect you all..........
It gave me a very disturbed night.
This morning, Thursday, I had to take another dose of this horrible drink -
added more water to make it more palatable, but it didn't help much. :-(
Anyway, the effects are the same, and it's ongoing.........
Shortly after taking it, I received a phone call from the hospital, saying they
should have called me yesterday to say take the preps earlier because they
wanted to change my appointment to the morning, not the afternoon.
They were discussing it as we spoke, because I never got the call!
Then they said they'd call me back to let me know what was going on.
I was fuming when I hung up, because I've had three days of suffering
and if they cancel the appointment, it's all been for nothing.
Later: Just had another call and they will do it this afternoon, but I have
to go to another hospital where the doctor can fit me in. The appointment is
at the same time, fortunately.
Later still: The new hospital just rang me - they don't want me until
much later. Even more unhappy, as not even allowed to drink water
now, and it's gonna be 26C today, so I'm going to get dehydrated.....
Have to change all my arrangements for people to pick up and collect me,
and put them out again. Not a happy little person at all this morning.
So that's my rant out of the way.
Wouldn't you think our health services would get it right?

Juenelle I just can't resist this one. The problem would not have been in him asking you to push the button. The problem would have been Basement or Penthouse ROFLMAO!

Jean Glad to hear you're feeling better and I'm sorry it took so long to get here.

Hi Everyone,
Well, finally, after all that, and waiting for two hours, once I actually arrived
in the Day Surgery unit, everything went well.
The anaesthetic had no bad effects, and they actually fed me before
I went home.
Now if only the results are good, when they give them to me on the next
appointment.........
I feel great anyway, so thanks for all your thoughts.
And I didn't talk to any men in bed in elevators - probably because it's
only a one storey building! :-)

May you heal quickly and well, Jean... Western medicine simply doesn't have a clue as to how Humans should be treated, it seems.
Good speed and may Blessings abound! :)

Your horror story tops mine!
Have to get ready and go for this d... procedure soon, so will be
offline.
I hate anaesthetics!!!!!! And yeah, I'm so thirsty already........
At least they said they'd give me something to eat and drink before
I come home. Hope they do!
