Senior Solution Design Consultant / Pre Sales / High Level Design / Ericsson MD110, MX One / TDM / VoIP / IP Telephony / MCP / MCSE. UK, England. A leading provider of technology and service solutions in the Information and Communications (ICT) Arena require a Senior Solution Design Consultant with a TDM voice background and an excellent understanding of IP Telephony, VoIP, and convergence, to provide pre-sales support designing Telephony solutions. The company offers their customers managed Network Solutions, WAN, LAN, IP, VPN, MPLS, IPT, VOIP and convergence. They have over 30 years of experience Designing, Delivering and Supporting complex Communication Networks, providing services such as Consulting & Design, Implementation, Support Services and Education. The company have long standing partner relationships with Cisco, Microsoft, Mitel, Ericsson, Nortel and Extreme. You will be expected to have excellent Pre-sales experience designing Telephony solutions both TDM and IPT, including integration of IPT solutions to legacy private voice networks using DPNSS, QSig, and CAS. As well as experience in migration from legacy to IPT platforms including numbering plan and strategy design. Also a Good understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) is expected. TDM voice background in - Ericsson MD110, MX One and associated applications, OneBox, DNA, Solidus, Netwise, EBN is essential to this role. Experience of Microsoft & Mitel MN3300 solutions is advantageous. The general responsibilities of the role will include; the capturing and documenting business and technical requirements of the client. Proposing, positioning and presenting solution designs; Ensuring purposed solutions are within the deliverable capabilities of the business; Documenting high level solution designs. You will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain close technical relationships with clients, vendors and suppliers. Excellent presentation skills are essential. You will be home based but should expected to travel extensively throughout the UK. The package on offer is up to 55K basic salary, 10K bonus, car allowance, healthcare, pension, laptop and mobile phone.

This role requires you to be a billable customer facing Consultant to find, WIN and deliver consultancy led engagements in the area of Network Optimisation with CISCO PACKETEER JUNIPEER (WX WXC) RIVERBED IPANEMA OPNET products. You will need at least 2 year’s experience in Network & Application Optimisation, routing, switching and quality of service / Class of service, Microsoft. 2 - 5 years’ experience in bringing in consulting / billable business i.e. used to having a personal revenue achievement target within a Professional Services consulting context. Proven track record in consulting engagements. Posses a consultancy led approach with a business/financial focus - THIS IS KEY. Bring commercial and technical issues to an optimal business solution for large consulting engagements. Excellent market and technical knowledge in Network & Application Optimisation and LAN/WAN technology as well as good all round knowledge of the networking industry and technology. Excellent Inter-personnel and communication skills, including high level presentation skills to board level. You will also be required to travel within the regional geography including Europe as required and you must hold a full Driving License. Your responsibilities will include: positioning and delivering advanced, complex billable consulting work to a client when these facilitate progression towards or closure of a large Optimisation Solution sale. Be customer facing and be comfortable with and to win consulting led sales of $250k in 12 months. Be a recognized expert within discipline representing leading edge or complex technologies, theories, and techniques. Operate within the most complex disciplines in which the Professional Services organization must be pre-eminent in order to succeed. Give advanced technical support to customers with generally the most complex requirements. Act as the chief technical architect, transferring customers’ requirements into a solution based on the Business Service’s Optimisation products and services. You will own technical design from concept to implementation. Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge of Optimisation products and services. Use this knowledge to design commercially and technically viable solutions particularly for large consulting customer engagements. Actively participate in the tendering process and development of proposals in line with customer needs, liaising and qualifying with other colleagues as necessary. Present technical solutions to customers both formally and informally as required. Expect to provide strategic direction, guidance and integration of the chosen Business Services partner’s products from Packeteer, Juniper and others incorporating the clients Business Services Professional Services.
