Brickworking in the Heat - I Must be Mad!

Today we are having a slight break from hot days; it's still humid, but that's
because it's trying to rain and not succeeding.

Since it wasn't so hot, I decided to go outside and put some of those old
bricks we've collected from dumps and renovations in the area.   We have a
couple of hundred sitting around doing nothing.

We decided a while ago that a brick path across part of the garden would be
good, so that's what I worked on.   My partner had dug out the soil, so the
really hard part was done - I like that!  :-)  He'd also brought about half the
necessary bricks over.

After a few bricks had been laid, it didn't seem so cool out there - perspiration
is my middle name......... Since I was out there getting dirty, moving bricks, and
let's face it, having a good time, decided to stay and finish the job.

Had to bring a lot more bricks over - the path's about 4 metres long, and make
sure I had enough of each colour for the design, but it's done.

Isn't it amazing what a sense of achievement one gets, having done something
like that?    I really like the path, but then, I'm prejudiced.......

Now for a long cool drink, while sitting gazing out of the window at my
handiwork.
