Earn extra money from blog traffic

Do you have a blog? Do you wish you could earn from it? Sounds familiar? WAIT don't go off yet. Enough with this boring punch line, I will get to the point.

DUMBEST IDEA TO MAKE MONEY YET!

Have the above heading caught your attention? Now to tell you my method.

First get yourself a blog. Obvious right. Next get advertisers to put adverts on your blog and finally generate traffic.

#1, Advertisements

I recommend CPM ads from providers such as Adbrite. You get paid for every unique visitor to your site. If Adbrite isn't enough then how about feeds and audio ads that pay you?

I recently stumbled upon Voxant, an advertising comunity that pays you to put up their, text, video and image feeds in your website or blog and pays you from $1 per thousand impression for text feed impression and up to $4 per thousand video feed impression.

As for audio ads that play, I have joined Pay-Per-Play. They pay when the audio ads in your site are played. The ads are played automatically and will only last for 5 seconds.

Next, I have Gimmelink. Also a CPM type advert but the pay is significantly lower than even Adbrite.

Just register with these ad providers as publishers and put the scripts on your site and start earning money. Adbrite and pay-per-play are exceptions. Adbrite will take about 3 days to activate while pay-per-play only starts in February.

#2 Traffic.

Up until now, I have no good methods to get traffic. My only recommendation is to join a blog network, that way you can get other bloggers to read your blog. Please suggest a better way for me.
