BCN NEWS REPORTS ON RADIO SHOW GIVING AWAY BIRTHDAY SURPRISES
Baltimore, Md. - Veteran radio personality Joe Buccheri ( WKTK FM - KROQ FM ) is celebrating his birthday this year on the Internet. Born to " a Jewish princess and an Italian police officer January 3, several decades ago ", Buccheri will kick off his birthday show at 8pm ( est )this Friday night at TGAMM FM, all request Internet radio.
Over the
past several decades Buccheri has been " fortunate " in the fact that
he has a lucrative career within the Entertainment Industry. " I still
can't believe it when my agent tells me that my voice has been featured
in over 1,500 radio and television commercials. Having appeared in over
15 motion picture projects, Buccheri's acting debut came in the 1970's
highly acclaimed feature film - BLACK MARBLE - where he portrayed a
disgruntled Police Detective opposite lead actor, Robert Foxsworth. The
production, AMERICA -THON, cast him as an FBI Agent playing opposite
actors Michael Mislove and John Ritter. " John was a super guy and very
kind to me, Buccheri said. " He is surely missed by all whose lives he
touched."
In the Canadian Film Production, HIGH POINT, Joe had
his first opportunity to play a Mafia Hitman. As a trained and
qualified Stunt Driver, he had to kidnap the character portrayed by
lead actor, Richard Harris.
Presently, producing his radio show over Baltimore's Internet Radio TGAMM-FM, Joe splits up his time with the stations new host, Rob " Sandman " Sandler. A radio voice talent out of Arizona.
When talking about TGAMM'S connection
with AdlandPro, Buccheri noted that, " the support and opportunities
here are nothing short of astounding. I love this place. And the
people are pretty nice too.
During
Friday nights " birthday bash ", " we're giving away everything from
apples to zebra stripes laughed Buccheri, " its bound to be a lot of
fun for our listeners."
January has become a very special month for Joe Buccheri as he also celebrates what he calls " that time of the year when I was gifted with new life." This January also marks two years out of liver transplant surgery . " I'm happy to be here, said Joe, smiling, in fact, I'm happy to be anywhere. "
Management at TGAMM noted that as part of his show this Friday, Joe will be accepting phone calls from his listeners, giving away prizes and "'offering slices of " e-cake " as they call it. Something the station has come up with as a special treat for the audience.
When asked about his age, Joe grinned and told BCN, " let's just say I have much in common age wise with Mick Jagger, Stephen Stills, and George Washington Carver Day. "
