2008 Ready Or Not, Here I Come!
So here we are, already in the second day of 2008!
Judging by yesterday, it's going to be a crazy mixed up year, that's for sure.
There was a mix up in the backoffice with one of my programs, involving
several of us - almost fixed now.
I joined a new social networking site, Kanggie, at another Apsense member's
invitation.
Won a small amount at the pokies.
Lost all of my login info for everywhere when I meant to delete cookies.
It was another very hot day, third in a row of 40C or higher, so we boiled.
Covered my investment in a cycler (Yeah, I know, they're stupid, but once in
a while, I go silly)
My partner finished making a bricked area in the front garden, where we
can sit in the shade on hot afternoons.
I didn't do the housework again - too hot!
.......... and that's just the highlights of the day. :-)

As you can see from some of the things above, it was sort of a good/bad mix of
just about everything. If the rest of the year goes like this, it certainly will be
extremely interesting.
All the best for 2008 - hope it's a great year for you all.
By the way, I have no idea what the picture at the top has to do with anything,
I just liked it. :-)

Snow ! Today, I'd give anything for a little snow in the area.
It would melt and help the garden survive. :-)

Interesting that you are going thru a heat wave over the New Year and we had a blizzard dropping several inches of snow! I know you will persevere with the new year!

The people here in this city are well aware to the law... They just don't care-- Illegal gunfire within 5 miles of the city is not allowed and the cops were busy racing through the neighborhoods to try and catch the offenders, for hours after that...
I surprised that I could sleep at all, but that's the power of the Flu, and a spot or two of fine Bourbon! :)

Gunfire at midnight? Sounds bad. If we heard that here, it would be a police
matter - no discharging a weapon within 1 mile of a public road, or in a built up
area. It was pretty quiet here.
Hope the effects of the 24hour bug have well and truly gone, and that there
were no ill effects from the meal you had at your client's! :-)
The messy year continues - stayed in another suburb Wednesday night, and
was called at 130 am by my security company - my alarm had gone off in the
study

First off, I was awakened by the sound of gunfire at about 11:30 PM-- It seems that every nut likes to ring in the New Year by blasting bullets into the air... Crazies for sure...
I was fighting off the early stages of the flu, but I did have a toast you Apsense folks and my wishes for Peace were sent out to the World... Then I crawled back into bed.... Oddly... The chills did stop, I think I must have had a 24 hour bug or something... Next morning, I was up with the sun, fully dressed and t
