Hot Diggity Dog! I've found a website that will have you guys and gals of a "Certain Vintage" reeling in the memories! :)
http://www.oldfortyfives.com/
Old Forty Fives is a treasure of Flash Movies and Old School music and the note and memories of the creator and members of the site... I'm not falling into "Geezer Hood" so don't even go there!

AS most of you fine folks may know, it's been five 7 years since I retired from formal employment and started my own businesses, and somehow, The AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) has never been able to get me to sign up... I mean they sent me about 1000 letters, reams of marketing materials and damn near everything they had in their recruiting arsenal...
I've never really considered myself as "Retired" and the thought of AARP usually make some people feel like they've gotten "Old" and are "Past it " when it comes to an active life...
WHOA! That's probably why I steadfastedly avoided signing up!
I'm nowhere near "Old" or "Past it"!:)
Dudes and Dudesses, Peaceful still loves to party and stays busier than a "Cathouse Preacher with a Company Credit Card", every single day!
I really enjoy Life, and I love to laugh and sing and dance, too!
It was a shock to go get the mail and find out that AARP had finally gone "bonkers" and GAVE me a free membership, because that was the only way I'd ever sign up for one! ( Unless they found a way to sell one to my cremated ashes, that is!:)
It's not so bad, there are some great discounts and financial advice and stuff like that, they also a had nice looking discount for Internet Service from People PC, us "old" folks pay half...lol!
I get a 50% discount at Country Buffet which is cool, but if they think that my appetite has gotten "old", they are in for a shock! I can hurt 'em when it comes to "All You Can Eat!" So they'd better watch out!
I have the metabolism of an athlete! I walk about 15 miles every single day and when the weather settles, and I get my new mountain bikes (To replace the two that were stolen), I'm going to ride an average of 50 miles daily, over rugged terrain...
I love to swim, hike, camp and cook, too!
And when it comes to my Love Life... Well let's just say that I'm even better than I remember, and my Lady friends tell me so...
So AARP be danged! I'm not even going to let you make me feel old!
Not even for 50% off on vision care! So There!:) LOL! |

Some of the blogs created by my fine Apsense Family members just got me to thinking about some of the old times and I thought that you folks of All Ages might just want to take a look back at what may be the funnest times of you or your parent's lives ( Maybe even Grandparents, too)

I'm a "baby" Baby Boomer LOL 1964. Ha! I'm still 35. My nephew caught up to my this year and he'll be older than me next year. This girl refuses to get old! Not in my vocabulary. Jeff I'll be joining you in the "Selective aging" in a few years. Selective aging is actually a hereditary syndrome in my family.
My mom used to make me park in the senior citizens spot at the grocery store, but I knew better than to call her old. I would've needed dentures and Poli-grip ROFLMAO!

Yes, it can, Rae! :) LOL!
My birthday was October 1st, 1952... I'm considered a "Baby Boomer", but there are folks that are twenty years older than me, who believe that we kids who were born in 50's actually remember all that stuff! DUH!
I guess it's because changes happened a lot slower back then and some of the things that older folks did in the thirties and forties were just as fresh for them in the 50's....
I'm only guessing here.... Maybe some of our more senior members could

Since I was born in the 50's, can this still be considered before MY time?
