A BUNCH OF CRAP!
| Hooters Mom Charged With Homicide After Toddler Dies in Hot Car

PHOENIX (AP) -- A woman who found her 17-month-old son dead in her hot, stuffy car after she worked her seven-hour shift as a Hooters waitress has been arrested, police said Wednesday. Ashly Duchene, 22, was booked into Maricopa County jail on a felony count of negligent homicide, police said. Duchene usually dropped the boy off at a day-care center on her way to work, but for unknown reasons failed to do so Tuesday, police Sgt. Joel Tranter. Instead, she left her son, Ryan Gallagher, in the car when she arrived at the north Phoenix restaurant at about 10 a.m., police said. When she returned after her shift at nearly 5 p.m., he was dead. Efforts to revive the boy by witnesses, officers and firefighters were unsuccessful. Temperatures hit nearly 90 degrees Tuesday, but it would have been more than 100 degrees inside the car, Tranter said. Duchene told police she walked to her car, unlocked the driver's door, sat in the vehicle and immediately realized she had forgotten she had left Ryan in the back seat. Officials believe the boy, who was in a car seat, was invisible to people going in and out of the restaurant and a nearby car wash because the car has tinted windows. A request to interview Duchene was not immediately answered by police Wednesday morning. The restaurant was closed Wednesday and was holding counseling sessions for employees. "Our company is deeply saddened by this terrible tragedy," said Melanie Gulmetti, a regional marketing manager. "Our thoughts are with the mother and her family. We are cooperating fully with authorities."
THIS IS A BUNCH OF BULL CRAP! Come on...I am so sick and tired of seeing articles like this. If you can forget about your CHILD being in a vehicle....you need to be locked away! This happens way too much! What do you guys think?

What was she thinking? I lived in Tucson 26 years and I know how hot it gets in Phoenix. No Mother in her right mind would do that knowing how hot it gets. I hope she gets that as part of her sentence.

This is happening way too often, and it's a saddening trend...
There's a story of a mother who left her baby on top of the car as she drove down the highway, after leaving a shopping mall, luckily the child wasn't hurt, but this goes to show that people are becoming "Careless" with the most precious of all their possessions... as I have said before-- "What a world we are living in..."

I think that the "I Forgot" is a poor excuse.. Hope that she doesn't have any more kids. People like that really need to be locked away and fixed so that they can never have any more children.... Ugh.. Things like this make me so angry.
I can see myself maybe forgetting about a cheerleader practice or soccer practice for one of my kids, but totally forget about the kid. She has got to do way better than that story!

Now honestly, No true parent would have forgotten their child was in the car. At the risk of being crude this story is one big steaming pile of male cow patty!
