How Far Would You Go In Order To Bring Your Audience The Very Best In Products, Services and Program
In the old days, there was a feeling among retailers that the "Customer is King" and that a smart businessman would certainly do almost anything to keep that customer pleased...
I personally know s guy whose family was in the delicatessen business for over 100 years-- And my buddy had been taught the "Old World" style of doing business-- Personally making sandwiches and delivering them across town in his Corvette for his special customers, even though he was a Millionaire, and owned the damn business, which had become a franchise that had hundreds of employees! :)
His "Old World" ways kind of enslaved him, even though he didn't realize it...
Nowadays, we all certainly move at a faster pace-- Customers are seen very differently ( More like a commodity...) and less personal contact with them is the norm...
Businesses that still practice the "Old World" style of customer care are vanishing quickly-- Low, Low Prices-- Give Sales Associates a "Just buy it and get out of my face!" type of demeanor, I feel and Mega-This and Mega-That have just sent the Human Factor is Sales into kind of a "Shrinking Violet" hiding place...
As most of us are small business, or even micro-businesses of one or two people- This either creates a definate "Niche" for us to fill or either a hole for us to fall into...
So just what is your personal style of doing business? How far does one go to keep your customers happy these days?
Does your Marketing and Advertising "Pitch" have the correct "Voice" that actually represents your personal style?
As for my own answer to my own question- I would go so far as to go back to "School" and learn whatever it takes to provide my customers with the very best... but I will also learn to know the difference between "Service and Servitude" and educate my customers to my particular style...
I wanna have a Life, after all! :)

Style is usually a trait that a person might not be aware of, until someone else points it out to them- (for good or ill)...
Lotsa people here at Apsense have a style that's all their own... Now if they would come here and show it off once in a while-- Maybe the room could get "Bizzyed Up" again! :)

I have as yet to find or discover my style of advertising
If I even have one LOL
I have ran/operated my own business so am aware of the importance of getting to know a bit about your customers.

Excellent article! I was born as a businessman in this "new world" style but learned about the "Old World" style right from my US experience! Trying hard to apply it here, but sometimes the 'new world' style customer creates big problems. At thi moment I do have to recover from bad new style customers over 17,000 Euros! That's the world we live in today... but still possible to do honest business and be successful.

We go to the same gas station even the the price per gallon is a few cents more because of the great customer service. I'm not sure what my style is exactly, but if I can help without getting the sale, I probably will anyway (help that is.)
