Are safelists and PTC really affective these days?

Are safelists and PTC really affective these days?

Well now, the answer to this may really depend...
But this is my belief...

Lets take an example

You have a site to do with entertainment
Now, you sign up for a safelist or a PTC site, with maybe thousands of ppl in it...
But lets face it, most of us, would usually just click on the link to either get the points to advertise our own site or for the money...
Most of never explore the iste, unless you have in BIG BOLD LETTERS something like NO-MINIMUM or $10 Sign up bonus...
ppl just click on these sites for the money, and most of these places which offer advertising packages wouldnt be effective at all...

Why NOT effective?

1. The sites you promote your sites on offer PTC service, and the members who will be seing your site in most cases will just click on the site for points or money. THEY WILL NOT explore the site...well in most  cases...

2. Most of these users are looking for money making opportunity sites, not some social site or some entertainment site...so your money's gone 2 waste...

3. ppl on the safelist probably receive many massages, so obviously they will delete many of them...even i do, no lies...so again, less exposure of your site...

SO WHAT to do?

Well the best thing to do, is pay sites like Hi5 or Myspace, which are related to entertainment than waste your money on these useless sites...
