"Angela's Voice" WordPress Version Blog Finally Up!
Hi,
I FINALLY got a WordPress template uploaded and activated that I can live with!
"Angela's Voice", my self help, Life, purpose, world current affairs, world transformation, women's and human rights issues, New Energy spirituality blog, has been going through massive issues recently.
Converting to WP has been a two year journey. I've always used the Blogger platform since I started blogging in August, 2004. But since my Jamaican SEO, content expert friend, Keisha Seaton introduced me to the WordPress blogging platform, I've lusted after WP's wonderful category function for about two years.
Everytime I logged into the WP control panel that Keisha installed for me, I got almost an instant headache. I'm a non-tech girl and the thought of choosing, learning to upload, then activating a theme, then doing it alll over again for all the addons I'd want, COMPLETELY overrrrrrwhelmed me!!! Continuing to post to my wonderful blogger platformed blog seemed heaven in comparison....
Anyway, I really started developing a serious angst over not being able to categorise my posts. Categories would help me to remember what I'd written and help my blog readers find what they wanted. Simple. Effective. Orderly.
Then Ken, my new host and online OBA past downline/online friend, installed WP again for me and introduced me to someone who knew all about WP.
That didn't quite work out but it got my juices flowing faster to make it happen. Finally, over many days and in between waiting for the telephone techs to fix my line fault that kept me offline for over a week, I just made the crucial 'by hook or by crook, if it kills me' choice.
That WP version of "Angela's Voice" would go up, no matter what! And to make it even MORE urgent, I moved my Google/Blogger blog to a new location, put up a 'site being transformed' notice where it was and left my poor site crying.....
I knew that would work. I'm a writer and cannot do without my writing fix. Since August, 2004, when I first came upon the brand new, intriguing world of blogging, I've also developed a blogging addiction.
So I knew I couldn't take the 'unable to blog', 'unable to have my normal readers come read my stuff' status for long.
And, now, thankfully, the revised, WordPress version of "Angela's Voice" is up!!!!!!
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! ;-)
I still have to figure out the video and social bookmarking elements and many other things I already had pat on the Blogger version, but I'll take it step by step.
