Job seekers are always wondering what the secret is to writing the most effective resume. Well, the answer would actually depend on every job seeker’s situation. If you are a job hopper, you may not be confident that employers will be impressed by your long list of previous employment. On the other hand, if your resume indicates that you have been in one particular company for quite a long time, you may be thought of someone who is not flexible and experienced enough. 1. Indicate your willingness to learn. It is possible that employers will consider your lengthy employment as a sign that perhaps your skills are obsolete. 4. Place emphasis on the experiences you have that relate to all your goals. After being in a company for so many years, it is very likely that you have a really long list of career achievements. Although you need to be proud of them, you need to include in your resume only those skills, experiences, and achievements that will be relevant to the company you are applying for. Keep in mind that an effective resume is a great piece for marketing yourself, and not your employment history.
