Premier Dance USA Started Providing Private Dance Lessons for Engaged Couplesby PRC Agency PR
Ballroom dancing has seen a real resurgence in interest and impact thanks to shows like Dancing with the Stars. This interest is multi-generational as couples, both young and old are heading into the studios to learn how to dance. Formal dancing is also making a comeback with weddings and other formal events. Couples are now planning more formal dancing for their receptions, which is why studios like Premier Dance USA are holding special classes for wedding parties who wish to learn more formal and “splashy” dance steps for their wedding.
The studio has both private and public dancing lessons that will help couples learn basic and even, time permitting, more advanced routines. A spokesperson says, “There is no getting around the fact that dancing is romantic. When a groom can spin and dip his wife, the crowd goes wild.”
Premier Dance USA is a member of the Global Dance Alliance, an organization that promotes social dancing in a committed environment of well-trained instructors. Premier Dance USA is owned by husband and wife team of Olga and Paul Richardson. The husband and wife duo are qualified members of Pan American Teachers of Dance and accredited dance coaches. Not only do they share a love of dance, but a desire to promote it as an art form and competitive enterprise.
“Dancing is a passionate dialogue between two people when done correctly. We remember the great dance partners like Rita Moreno and George Chakiris or Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, don’t we? They evoked something in everyone watching them. When they danced you couldn’t take your eyes off of them. We want to take a bit of what they had and give it to our students", says the company.
The studio offers one free course and asks people to call ahead to schedule it. The owners want to stress that dancing shouldn’t ever be just a means to an end. It’s an athletic activity that will improve one’s fitness and reduces stress in dancers. Dancing regularly has been proven to promote memory retention over time, according to a study once published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Research scientists ranked those physical or leisure activities that improved upon the brain’s neurology and supported function and memory.
Of all the activities cited, dancing frequently had a risk reduction of 75% - more than reading or solving puzzles. Premier Dance USA invites everyone to come out and try their free lessons. They are confident that people will not only enjoy the lesson but want to return for public dance events. Their group dance classes are not only a great way to learn dance steps but they are very social and relaxed.
For those who may be worried about attending a group ballroom dance class alone, the instructors want to reassure everyone that no one will go without a partner. “People exchange partners, so no one who attends as a single dancer should worry about not having someone to dance with,” says the company. “We make sure that everyone has an opportunity to dance and learn these steps. The bottom line though is that we’re not just selling a dance class here. We’re selling a good time.”
Premier Dance offers individual lessons, group classes, as well as, kid programs and wedding programs. Check out their official website for more details.
