Norton.com/Setup - How to Activate Norton Setup

In order to enjoy all the features Norton offers, you will first need to activate Norton services. Norton activation is required because it helps reduce the piracy issues that are rampant across the world. At the same time, activation ensures that you are using the bona fide Norton products and services.

The Norton activate process is pretty simple. In fact, the activation process is automatic if your computer is connected to the internet. It starts after you launch the Norton product after the installation for the first time. There are some products that are to be activated at the time of the installation.

If you have not activated the Norton services yet, every time you run the Norton product you will be prompted for Norton activation. You will also continue receiving the alerts regarding Norton activate until you have actually activated the products or services. Some Norton products come with a trial period wherein they can be used for a specified period of time before activation. If you do not activate the product within the time-frame, you will not be able to use the services.

Here is how you can activate Norton services:

- Start the Norton product you have recently installed but yet not activated

- The main window will appear on the screen of your computer. On the window you will see the option to Activate Now or Renew.

- When you receive the alert to activate Norton, you can click on the Activate Now option from there as well

- You may be prompted to sign in to your Norton account. You will need to enter your email address and password in this case.

- If you have the Norton product key available with you, click on the option that reads “Enter a key”

- Follow the instructions that appear on your screen to complete the activation process

- If you still have an active subscription, you will see it on the web page. Click on your subscription and follow the subsequent instructions.

- If you need to buy a new subscription, you can click ‘Buy a Subscription’. You will be taken to the Norton Store from where you can buy a new license.

Once the activation is complete you will be able to use the full features of the Norton services. You will be able to enjoy the Norton product for the full period of subscription. The Norton product license may limit the number of computers on which the subscription can be used. However, if you wish to uninstall the product from the computer on which it is currently installed and use it on another one, you can easily deactivate the subscription and reactivate on the new machine.
