How beneficial is public school education in India?

by Ratul Puri Marketing Consultant
There are many families in India who prefer home schooling or private education over public education. Wondering why? It is because the public schools are losing their reputation and most parents consider it to be wastages of money. However, in case you too think that you shouldn’t invest in public education, you may be surprised to go through the benefits given below that you can derive from it.

•    More qualified teachers
In terms of both experience and education the teachers in public schools are more qualified than those in private schools as per a study from the National Center for Education Statistics.  They help in imparting quality school education in India as they are more likely to better degrees and exposure to things like using computers etc.

•    Better understanding of the core subjects

A good understanding of the core subjects is important for both the teachers and the students to ensure that the children receive quality education. Thus, the public schools spend more time in helping the students understand the core subjects such as science, mathematics, English etc. which helps in their career. Again, for better future of your children, it is important that you put them in early childhood education schools.

•    Public schools can sponsor more activities
Compared to the private school education, public school education can sponsor more and better activities, offering better academic sports and learning tools to your children. The reason behind this is that there is more number of students in a public school who can easily pull off a science fair or other such activities.

•    The student population is diverse
For those students who are not financially sound, private schools become a dream only. Also, it becomes difficult to introduce such students to the different races and backgrounds people come from in a private school. Therefore, in such cases, public school education in India remains the only option and the best way to introduce your children to different races and backgrounds. Moreover, the good thing is that there are NGOs that are working on imparting quality education to children in schools.

Thus, if you make your children attend regular classes, public school education in India can be beneficial for them. However, for better results, early childhood education schools are necessary.

Look for a school that has a team of qualified and experienced teachers who impart high quality education. No matter whether you pick a private or public school, making an informed decision is necessary.
