2012 China new leather industry products import and export tariffs dynamic

2012, the People's Republic of China Import and Export new tariff was implemented on January 1. Products Import and Export Tariff of the leather industry in 2012 showed the following new features:

First, China's leather industry products MFN import tariffs reach the WTO requirement, the same as the 2010 import tariffs. The leather industry products MFN average import tariff of 12.14 percent in 2012.

China's leather industry agreed import tariffs, compared with the previous year in 2012, except to continue to cut import tariffs from Peru, China Taiwan, Chile, New Zealand, Pakistan FTA, signed a free trade agreement with Costa Rica, which make the tariffs on imports of leather products from Costa Rica has significant concessions.

The leather industry average import tariff which imports from Peru in 2012 reach 6.04%, lower than the average MFN import tariffs of 6.1 %, which cut by 1.04 % over the previous year. In addition, Rawhide import tariffs have been reduced to zero .

In 2012, China have lowered import tariffs of imports from China Taiwan part of leather chemical materials, plastic or textile surface luggage, footwear parts, etc. The leather chemicals import tariffs average dropped to 4.25% from 6.28% in the last year. A part of plastic or textile surface bags import tariffs fell from 10% to 5% or from 5% to 0. Part of the footwear parts import tariff dropped from 5% to 0.

China's leather industry average import tariff imports from Chile in 2012 was 0.46%, which  lower than the average MFN import tariffs of 11.68%, down 0.15 percentage points over the previous year.

Chinese leather industry products imported from New Zealand, the average import tariff in 2012 was 0.6%, lower than the average MFN import tariffs of 11.54 percent, down 2.26 percentage points over the previous year.

Chinese leather industry average import tariff imports from Pakistan in 2012 was 7.45%, 4.69 percentage points lower than the average MFN import tariffs, reduced by 0.37 percentage points over the previous year.

The average import tariff leather industry products imported from China, Hong Kong, China in 2012 was 8.26%, 3.88 percentage points lower than the average MFN import tariffs, down 0.14 percentage points over the previous year.

China's leather industry products imported from Asia-Pacific average import tariffs in 2012 was 10.32%, 1.82 percentage points lower than the average MFN import tariffs, reduced by 0.05 percentage points over the previous year.

China's leather industry average import tariff imports from Costa Rica in 2012 was 6.21%, 5.93 percentage points lower than the average MFN import tariffs.

Third, continue to stop reducing import duties on the part of semi-finished leather

Continue to stop reducing tariffs of seven semi-finished leather and finished leather in 2012, the decline is the same as the previous year.
