by Arpit Seth Operation Head

Since, there are no such restrictions for educational qualification in a particular stream, the jobs become open to students from a wide variety of stream, thereby increasing the number of applicants every year. 2013 will also be not much different and candidates can easily try for recruitment in the nationalised banks like Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Canara Bank for getting into the clerical or officer positions.

But before everything falls into place, and candidates achieve their dreams of banking sector jobs, they will have to work their way towards the recruitment 2013 in these banks. Such a trend is being increasing in recent years and more number of candidates will be appearing for the exam in 2013 because the choice to pursue the recruitments would be governed by two important reasons.

·         Lure for banking jobs has been afflicted by one very strong reason and that is the option of being associated with a large company. The nationalised banks of India like the Canara Bank or the Vijaya bank have been able to spread across the country and mark their presence in the smaller towns and villages. Canara bank or even the Bank of Baroda can be seen to be present in the Tier-II cities of the country, thereby suggesting that the banks are in an expansion mode. This will require more number of employees, thereby meaning that the Canara Bank recruitment 2013 will be for a large number of vacancies.

When a huge number of vacancies is published, there are also more number of candidates applying for the posts because of the hope of making it through the exam. As is for Canara Bank, so will be the Vijaya bank recruitment 2013 will be looking at a huge number of applicants. Because of the large stature of the banks, plenty of people are eyeing the positions of clerks and officers in these banks. For this to get finalised, people will have to work towards putting in their applications at the right time and with the right qualifications.

·         With so many options of nationalised banks, interested candidates can apply for more than one bank, provided they have cleared the written exam of IBPS for the clerical and officer positions. After appearing in written round once, candidates will have the options to apply for 19 nationalised banks of which Bank of Baroda is one. So, for Bank of Baroda recruitment 2013, candidates will have to appear in the one IBPS exam. For the students, it is far easier to appear in a single written exam, rather than applying separately for the written and interviews in different nationalised banks.

Because there is the option of IBPS written exam, which the candidates find extremely easy to appear, there has been seen a rise in the number of candidates. More people are showing their interest to get into banking jobs by sending in their applications to the respective banks whose recruitment advertisements are published, provided they have the scores of the common written exam scores along with them.
