ID Theft Ranks #1 On FTC Complaint List

For the ninth year in a row, identity theft was the top consumer complaint reported to the FTC in 2008. Of more than 1.2 complaints received throughout the year, 313,982 or 26 percent were related to ID theft, the agency announced last week.
Third-party and creditor debt collection as well as shop-at-home and catalog sales came in second and third place respectively while complaints about Internet services; television and electronic media; and computer equipment were also high on the list. Read Here
