Skill Development

by Melvin Clifton Internet Marketer...Since early 1990-s

Skill Development:

As the world's economic condition continues to be one of uncertainty, ever-growing numbers of  folks are flocking to the internet as a means of  expanding their possibilities; and rightly so; but  with so unlimited choices, an abundance of offerings, as well as scams and get-rich schemes, one aught to proceed with extreme caution.
One should actually look for a mentor (as soon as possible). Speaking of mentors, one might be tempted to entertain the thought that it it's going to be costly; perhaps unaffordable.
It's actually the other way around. Your mentor will save you unimagined sums as he steers you away from the pitfalls, trenches and ditches lying in wait at every turn for the untrained eye of the newbie. I sure wish I did. I'm pretty sure that the dollars that slipped through my hands and into the pockets of the smooth-talkers and schemers
would have been more than enough to hire the a top notch mentor with enough left to start an online business.
Like many, I to am guilty of haphazardly jumping and skipping from program to program with the hopes of each new program subscribed to being the right one. It is so easy to think and assume that by merely signing up to a program and getting an affiliate link to promote, the customers will flock to our link or site to purchase the product or service we are promoting.
In some cases it is possible to promote a program, product or service; depending on the product, service or market without having any prior knowledge or skill. That was my experience some years back when I was marketing real estate in the Caribbean.
Actually I did have a few internet skills and I'll explain.
I wanted to create a website but did not know a darn thing about HTML, so searching for a WYSIWYG editor I discovered a very simple one with built-in website templates and Ftp capability.  Within a short while I was able to produce a fairly decent website which I uploaded to GoDaddy.com from whom I had purchased my domain name, and now  website hosting.
Without doing much, in terms of advertising, I almost immediately began to receive emails requesting information on land and houses for sale.
I can still remember the feelings when I received my first commission check for $15,00, then $9,500 and $3,500.
I guess luck was on my side, but fact is that  real estate is a fairly hot  product and market, especially considering the location (in the Caribbean where travel and tourism are enjoying steady growth)

That was real estate; real tangible property, locate in the warm tropical climate of the Caribbean. With e-books, e-info products and other online items, marketing online can be quite different.
If one hopes to go beyond merely earning a few pennies or coffee money marketing on the internet he had better decide to take time out  to learn a web skills; website design, ftp (uploading and downloading to and and from one's hosting company) list building (which is at the heart of the marketing), e-book design etc.

I can think of no better place to learn those skills than at Chris Farrell's membership site. Chris is rather skilled in the world of online marketing and business building. His style and use of video in delivering his teaching (spread over a 21-day period) is
as the English would say, Brilliant (Chris is an Englishman) For a mere $4.95 one can access the site for a full month before deciding to commit .
It just doesn't get any easier or simpler.
Please take my word for it and hurry over to Chris Farrell membership site and sign up.  Thanks might be in order at a later date.
