Angela Jones      Hello

Born & raised in a small town called Goldsboro, N.C. We lived way in the country. Theycalled it,"Back in the Woods". Our home was nohing more than an old shack. My parents raised 14 children and they supported us by working most their lives as sharecroppers. My parent's education was very limited because they both never got higher than the six grade. I depended on my elder siblings for my home work assignments. They were also pretty good with the discipline too. (laugh)
I considered myself a curious bright little girl who was always found daydreaming about having really cool friends that did not tease me for being poor.
I mean, I knew my home did not look like other folks, it was home to me and that was all I knew at the time. It's when I step outside my family zone, (comfort) when I noticed people degrading smiles & their kids teases. I created imaginary toys and friends. It was my own way of coping with it. I took it a step furthur & wrote a letter to God asking him to help me be somebody so I could help my family. I placed the letter under an old barn .

As I got a little older, I was taught how to handle tobacco crops. It was extremley hard work for anyone! I did not want to learn it at first. I would say to my mother, " It is really hot! My mother would look at me and say, girl 'Keep up and let's keep going. "There was one special day in the tobacco fields that I noticed something special about my mom. She was working so fast down the tobacco rows, wiping sweat and yelling at me to hurry. It was like a halo wind that brush across my face. I knew my mom was doing all this because she loves me. That moment I strived to make my mother proud. I took her work ethic & I obtained three college degrees & the rank Capt in USAFR! With all that, and as time went by, I still felt trapped of my precious time. I answered an small ad about making money & my life changed for the better!!
