What is your opinion about decoupage?

Recently, I started doing decoupage, and I am amazed at how much you can accomplish with clips, cuttings, fabric and glue. Would you share what is your experience with it, and something else.... how do you manage to clean up the glue after you have had some "help" from the kids?
