Well said Lynn. We are all responsible for ensuring that we have a high quality community that will serve us for a long time to come.
It would be a shame to see the postings filled with nothing but adverts.
If you place your adverts in the places that people expect to see adverts then you can be certain if they click on your link, that they're looking and that they have the time to read your advert at that moment.
If you throw your advert in front of people when they're on the way to something else then you'll only annoy and be an irrelevant distraction to move aside.
People buy from those they know, like and/or trust. In reverse, as a merchant it helps to know and like your potential client so that you can best fit your product to their requirements.
You will also discover that your product or service is not for everyone. It may only be for 2-10% of the people you meet. So why spend your valuable time and energy on pumping it out to everyone?
Get to know everyone here and if you're lucky someone you meet might be just at the right time to take up your offer, or they may know someone who'd benefit.
Relax and enjoy your business and the company of the people here. If your business is high quality and offers great value then you'll be successful without needing to slap everyone in the face with it.
"If you would spend 80% of your ad money making your existing customers feel like kings, you could get one customer to bring you another customer just like them, by Word-of-Mouth advertising. That would double your business and keep your customers loyal - what a concept." ~Jeffrey Gitomer~
"In sales, a referral is the key to the door of resistance." ~Bo Bennett~
