Anyone can be a victim of identity theft.
It can happen in minutes, and take years for the fallout to stop.

I myself was a victim of identity theft as teenager at the time when I was picked pocketted I didnt think much of the issue becuase I didnt know much about the dangers of losing your social sercurity card. About 15yrs later I was being fined by the IRS for not paying taxes I owed in a nother state. But I never lived in that state it was a on going battle to clear my name. To this day I have to keep the information that the IRS required to get to clear my name.
