Students of this course will develop practical skills and associated knowledge required for employment as an Assistant Chef in the Hospitality Industry, retail food outlet or on the Cruise Lines internationally.

Thereby young chefs and cooks, with a high level of culinary skills and a broad based Commercial Cookery knowledge, are made available for work experience placement in the Hospitality Industry, internationally.
ICCA Dubai - Work Experience Placement (WEP) Program: 
The ICCA Dubai - WEP Program is an essential part of the course and follows the 800 hours of intensive on-campus training in the ICCAC3C - Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) - ICTP (International Chef Training Program). The WEP Program which is one year (or as may be required) provides Student Chefs with valuable "hands-on" involvement in the industry working environment by way of a paid work experience placement. Here the Student Chef?s can apply their knowledge & skills gained in the training to real-life industry situations. Such industrial work experience, help increase a Student Chef?s further skilled employment & other international opportunities. ICCA Dubai works closely with each Student Chef, to help them be placed with suitable work experience placements that are in line with their aptitude levels, interests, personality and goals. During this period the Student Chefs are expected to report to ICCA Dubai on their work place experience on a regular basis and ICCA Dubai WEP program supervisor will also makes routine visits to their place of WEP Program deployment, to track their performance.
