One of the benefits of the HHO Hydrogen on Demand (HOD) system that I have been experiencing on the Ford is a significant real-time horsepower increase. This is an advantage in terms of driving pleasure, but a disadvantage in the sense that there is a constant temptation to "put the pedal to the metal", thereby negating the mpg gains, and enriching our local tire dealer! Fortunately, the way the system is designed at this time, the greatest power gains are coming at low-mid to higher rpm, so it's not terribly hard on the tires... yet!
As I mentioned before, HHO does clean the engine, eliminating cabon deposits, and reducing emissions, which makes the vehicle run quieter, smoother, and is better for the environment.
A few days ago, we purchased a '87 Chevrolet 3/4 ton pickup with a 350 cid engine that has been 'hotrodded' by a local engine builder, and produces in excess of 400 horsepower!! Can you imagine what will happen? Oh Yeah! (watch the headlines!)
I am anticipating the experience of building, and installing the HHO system on this vehicle for more than the horsepower though, as it is a 'pre-electronic' engine, and the system will be much more straight-forward to build.
